The Halo 3 Phenomenon

This post is in honor of the release of the greatly anticipated (at least anticipated by a lot of males out there) game Halo3. I know that Adam has been looking forward to it for a while. So I went out yesterday morning and waited in a line of Halo junkies to get it so he would have it when he got home from work yesterday. Actually it wasn't as bad as all that :) He spent last evening with friends from dental school on-line playing the new game and had a great time. I know that a lot of wives hate the video games our husbands seem to love so much, but believe me or not I don't mind all that much. Adam is pretty responsible about balancing his time out. Clara and I feel we get enough attention so I figure if this is what he wants to do to relax then. . . "Have a good time, honey!"

An Afternoon of Painting

Adam set this little station up for Clara up a few days ago. She loved it! How do I know? She spent over an hour outside painting and mixing colors together. And she has asked to do this every day since. She is so intent, it's so cute! Clara also thinks that her little painting smock is really cool. When she was done I asked her if she wanted me to take it off and she said "No, I think I'll keep it on a little longer."

School's In

Clara recently started school. I know what most of you are thinking, "Is she old enough for school ALREADY?" She turns 3 in October. The program she is going to is a pre-school starting at 3, and she goes two mornings a week. And she LOVES it. She is always so happy on school-days! When she wakes up she is ready to leave, I have to keep her occupied so we don't get there too early. Most people ask how Clara is about me leaving her at school and the answer is that she has NO problem at all. But she is always happy to see me when I come back to pick her up. She says "Mommy, you came back to me!" So we are all happy about school, and I enjoy the little break!

There must always be a First!

So I have now officially entered the world of blogging! I love how easy it makes keeping up with friends and family. So my first challenge is . . . what to write about in the first segment? I have a lot of ideas for subsequent entries, but it seems that the first one needs to introduce something, somehow. But I don't really want to type up an official bio, so I am going to ask all of you, my friends and family, to be patient and look for my upcoming entries!
