It's Scheduled!

So. . . unless our little guy decides to make an extra early appearance, then he will be here on Sunday, May 18! That's right around my 38th week of pregnancy. The plan is that I will be induced early that morning. My doctor tells me that because this is my second pregnancy things should go a little faster and smoother than last time! Hopefully things will go great. If there are any interesting updates, we'll let you know.

We've been busy trying to get things together for the baby. I really can't believe how fast time has gone this time! It's so different from being pregnant with Clara. The nursery is coming together and my sister is throwing me a baby shower tomorrow- I'll get some pictures up soon. I'm 35 weeks pregnant now and I'll tell you what, I am really feeling it. Getting more uncomfortable every day, which when I tell people that the first response I get is "I bet you can't wait to have him out of there." As crazy as this sounds I am actually not in a huge hurry to have the baby out. I still remember all too clearly the first few months with a newborn, and I figure that at least now I am still sleeping at night! Not that I am not excited to meet the newest member of our family, I am just not in a huge hurry for that to happen. On a brighter note, I have had several people tell me that the second time around with a newborn is a little easier because you have already been through it and know what to expect. Hopefully that's true, anybody with experience have an opinion? I guess that I'll know soon enough. Wish us luck!

wow! i can't believe it's almost time! we're so excited for you! here's my opinion on the second: delivery is way easier. stress level over newborn-ness is way lower (you don't panic over every tiny noise.) adjusting to two children on the other hand... very difficult for all three parties involved (new baby, mom, and older child used to getting all the attention.) you'll be great, though! i'm so glad you have family so close!!!

yea!!! William's brother and sister-in-law already had their baby- 3 weeks early and he was 7 lbs 8 oz!!! Its a hard call though whether it is better for him to be "in" or "out" . . . since I still have no kids, I won't say anything. I'm just so happy for you, Adam, and Clara! And I will definitely need lots of photos since it will be awhile before I can see him in person

Wow... that really did fly by. Maybe it was because of the holiday's then moving and everything. I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday we were sick together in Photo class. Best of luck. Can't wait to see pics of him.
