Updates

So I haven't really blogged much because I haven't really had much to tell.  Usually I'll have ideas for blogs kind of percolating in the back of my head, but lately. . .  nothing.  And then I was thinking hey, I got it.  Nothing super exciting, but I'll tell you what, for me, this was BIG.  Ian started sleeping through the night!!!  I almost can't wrap my mind around it, no more waking up at 3 am to stumble through the house to his room.  I can actually get 8 hours straight?  I still don't believe it!  And the bonus is that he did it on his own, I didn't have to train him (I really wasn't looking forward to that part.)  Every once in a while he still will wake up in the middle of the night, but for the most part . . . hurray!  Especially because when he is awake he is SUPER busy.  That child can crawl so fast, I can't tell you that crazy places I have found him.  And he gets into everything.  I have to vacuum everyday because everything he finds goes into his mouth!  I know that this is all normal, but you see, Clara was not like this.  So this craziness is somewhat new to me.

Also I have been adding to my homemade baby food repertoire.  I do keep some jars on hand in the pantry for emergencies.  You just never know.  Ian loves it.  And I actually think it tastes really good, too.  I've been making it and then freezing what I can in ice cube trays.  It helps cut back on cooking time.  So far so good.  He sure eats a wider variety of foods than I gave Clara at his age.  I actually feel really guilty that I didn't know better for her.  Oh well.

Several months ago I mentioned some problems we were having with Clara's dance class.  I wanted to let everyone know that all's well in our dance class universe, and has been for a while.  Thank Goodness!  I still encounter the infamous meltdowns, just not there.

Hope all is well with everyone out there!  Happy Tuesday!

Clara was a little angel. It makes me feel better to know that your boy is a little more of a handful ( I always felt like i was the one with the wild baby when we would hang out) :)

Oooh, lucky you getting to sleep. After my first, I didn't realize what a zombie I had become until Laurel started sleeping through the night and then I realized that I hadn't become mommy-stupid - just sleep deprived!

I was just talking to Tim about that. Bree has eaten way more different foods at this age than Robby did. I have to vacuum a lot more often as well. Oh the joys:) Hooray for Ian sleeping through the night. Someday we will get there. It gets better every week.
